April 09 Update

Dear !fname

First of all sorry for the slightly later arrival of your update this month. It has been a very hectic month for us but also a very exciting and prosperous one! More on this soon.

This month I bring news of some more changes within ATB as we continue to restructure our services to meet the demands of our valued customers along with what I hope will be some answers to questions you may have been asking yourself over the last few weeks.

Thank you again for all your positive comments and feedback on our newsletter which continues to encourage me and help us find better ways to serve you. Please continue to get in touch if you would like me to investigate anything for you. You can reach me on the usual address of graham@atbltd.co.uk.

Thanks for reading.

How to protect your wireless network.

Having a home wireless network means that you can say goodbye to ethernet cables forever and turn every room into your office. But if you don't have the right security half your neighbours could end up poaching your broadband.

Protecting your network is essential if you want to keep your broadband fast, private and hacker-free.

Changes to Ad Hoc support Charges.

For a long time ATB have provided their Ad Hoc on site service with a minimum 3 hour on site call out charge but having reviewed this carefully over the past six months and continued to monitor our competitors activities we have decided that a change would be beneficial to our customers.

From the 1st May 09 Ad Hoc onsite support will be charged at an hourly rate of £110 +vat at a minimum of only 1 hours charge. This change WILL NOT however apply to those customers on our remote support contract who will benifit from discounted onsite suppot at £90 +vat Per Hour.

We are also considering some other changes to the current remote support contract to make this solution more flexible and will also be introducing another tier between our remote and Bronze contract level to meet the needs of the smaller business. I will be writting to all Remote support contract customers soon with further details on these proposals.

Our BusinessCare contracted customers will continue to benefit from charges as low of £60 per hour for onsite visits.

If you have any ideas of how we can better serve your businesses needs then please dont hesitate to let me know to Graham@atbltd.co.uk.

Monitor your Web site Traffic with Google analytics.

So you have your web site up and running and you think it looks great, you may have even asked your designer to add a hit counter to your site so you can see how many hits you get. Wouldn't you like to know how visitors arrived at you site? what they searched for to get there? which pages they looked at and for how long or maybe even which country they visited from?

All this plus much more information can be available to you online 24 / 7 online completely FREE OF CHARGE! "How can ATB do this?" I hear you shout. The answer is we don't, Google do.

To find out what this great service can do for your online marketing and how ATB can help you take advantage of this service call us on 0845 634 6261 or email me at Graham@atbltd.co.uk and we will be happy to help.

Reduce your Inbox Spam by as much as 90%.

Its a worrying fact that over 50% of all email messages sent in the UK are spam mail. That represents a hugh amount of your's and your staffs time in sifting through emails you don't want and don't need to be getting.

There are al ot of spam filtering services available to you and lots of spam filtering software that you could install but what should you look for when choosing a spam filtering software?

We believe we have done all the hard work for you and found the most reliable, efficient and user friendly spam filter product available and you could have it installed, configured and working for less than £350.

If you are fed up with having to wade through 100's of messages inviting you to buy health products or meet girls online just to find your legitimate emails then we can help you. Drop us a line and we will be happy to assist.

ATB coming to a Pod Cast near you!

Due to the phenomenal success of our monthly newsletter which has seen a 200% increase in sign ups in just the past 3 issues we will shortly be releasing a series of 20 minute pod casts designed to provide a more in detailed look at ways you can improve your companies ITC systems and answer some of your more specific questions on the latest technology. Some of the current plans include;

  • An insight into Google's pay-per-click and how to make it pay.

  • Internet Security; What you should know.

If you have any questions relating to any aspect of Information Technology then please drop me an email to Graham@atbltd.co.uk and I will be happy to include this in one of the pod cast episodes.

Good Luck from ATB

We would like to wish ATB customers Paul from Fire action Ltd (www.fireaction.co.uk) and Mike from Twenty Twenty ltd (www.twentytwentyltd.co.uk) all the best this month when they run the London marathon for their nominated charities. Paul is running for the Eleanor foundation and Mike for the Wessex Cancer Trust. If you can spare a little sponsorship money to help them on their way then contact me and I will be happy to pass on the donation web site link.

The very best of luck to them both.

Customer referral scheme

We continue to recognize that a good deal of our new business comes from a referral and we are as always extremely grateful to you all when you pass on your good comments about us to other businesses. As a small token of our appreciation, we will continue in 2009 to provide £25 pounds of M&S gift vouchers to anyone who recommends our services to a business who then use our services for a site visit.

Friends of ATB

I was chatting to a customer the other day whilst onsite and he confirmed that he will only now use the services of such people like electricians, Plumbers and such like through recommendation and this made me even more determined to get this section up and running. Wouldn't be great to know that if you needed the service of any professional that you could go to a site and find the contact details of companies that have been recommended by other ATB customers? I can only make this happen if you begin to provide me the details of the professionals you would recommend to others because of their good service and professional approach. Email them to me at graham@atbltd.co.uk and i will get them added to our page.
