"Company A" Ash, KENT.
"Company A" wanted ATB to provide a new server to provide shared access to files and provide a secure and corporate email and internet connection. For this we installed an HP RAID 0 server with a Dat72 tape backup drive. This gave the resilience the company requested and also the ability to maintain a regular and reliable data backup. The server was then configured with Windows 2003 Small Business Server which gave "Company A" all the tools they required for their business at a reduced software cost. The installation of Exchange server gave them the ability to have email for each employee routed direct to the desk and also provided web outlook for access to mail when on site or working from home. HP workstations were added to the domain and installed with Windows XP which provided and fast and secure working environment with very little maintenance requirements. ADSL was supplied and installed to give fast internet access and with the addition of a secure IP SEC VPN the directors then had the ability to access the company network and resources from home via their ATB installed home ADSL solution. This fast growing company required at the outset a new powerful file and print server to be installed and for their current two servers which were on two separate domains to be streamlined and re-configured. ATB supplied and installed an HP rack-mounted RAID 5 server with a Dat72 Drive and configured it with Windows 2003 server. "Company B's" existing Windows 2000 server was then reconfigured and added to the same domain to act as a backup domain Controller for the domain and also to run the Windows Exchange services to provide email, contact and calendar to the clients. We upgraded the existing Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 to take advantage of the new features. "Company B" have since embarked on a support contract with ATB and have found our remote support services have allowed them to reduce their IT expenditure and streamline their office support. "Company A" had recently moved into a new office building and required Cat5 cable throughout for data and telephony services. Space was tight so we installed a mini cabinet and patch equipment which fitted nicely into one corner. We flood wired the building providing around 4 sockets per desk to allow for future expansion.
